Meeting, September 23, 2002

 

Present:  Paul Connolly, Raphael Herz, and Linda Wollschlager

Absent:  Phil Verzani and Jeff Phillips

 

The meeting was called to order by the chair at 7:15 PM in the Retirement Board Conference Room, Third Floor, Town Hall. The notice for the meeting had been sent to the Town Clerk for posting on September 20; the agenda had been sent at the same time.

 

Minutes of the September 10 meeting were approved as written.

 

The committee reviewed action taken by the Finance Committee on September 17 and 19 and a report from Town Counsel received by the Finance Committee on September 19 with regard to the CBRC-sponsored articles. The committee focused upon those articles about which the Finance Committee had requested more information or Town Counsel had expressed an opinion other than "no legal impediments."

 

The committee unanimously agreed (3-0) to authorize Mr. Herz to convey to the chairman of the Finance Committee and to the Town Administrator (for forwarding to Town Counsel) responses from the committee that provided the additional information requested or that asked for legal clarification on outstanding issues. Mr. Herz said that he would construct the responses from the committee so that they reflected the discussion that had occurred.

 

The meeting adjourned at 8:25 PM.
